This year, Payne is implementing Phase 1 of a new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) initiative for all grade levels.  Students will be introduced to all aspects of a STEAM program, while the staff works together to create transdisciplinary curriculum projects.

Through STEAM classes, labs, and assemblies, student subgroups who would traditionally not get to experience such 21st Century enrichment in technology, engineering, and art, will have these programs as part of their daily school routine.  We are incredibly excited to build our educational program and will be looking for community help as we write grants, design curriculum, and invite experts in the field to our classrooms.
